Hello my name is Dorene Moore and I ordered two family name signs from you in December. The square ones with the initial and the last name going across the middle. I have to say I am very pleased with your work. I love them but I was wondering if you sell a medium stain reclaimed wooden plaque to attach the metal sign to. I thought I saw one displayed like that on your website but now I cannot find. If you do sell a medium stained reclaim wooden plaque where would I find and how would obtain two and attach them? Or if you do not sell them maybe you can refer me to someone?

    Thank you,

    Dorene Moore

      Hi Dorene,
I’m so thrilled that you like your signs, we certainly appreciate you choosing to shop with us! At this time we do not offer the wood plaques, the photo you are referring to is an example that one of our customers sent us. I would suggest trying your local hardware or craft store, as usually they will offer these types of decorative items for DIY. Another great option would be to try http://www.etsy.com and search for reclaimed pallets. I hope that helps!

We were gifted with one of your beautiful Circle Vine Monogram Initial & Family Name, and we are considering how and where we want to hang this piece. Do you recommend indoor or outdoor hanging? We thought it would really pop on our brick home, but it seems to blend in, and not stand out as we had hoped. I see the comment above mentioning a type of wood plaque to mount it on. What do you advise? Thank you for your response to this question.

      Hi Karen,
So happy to hear you are enjoying your sign! This sign is powder coated, so you can hang it inside or outside without fear of rust. We’ve had several people say they have mounted their signs on wood pallets that they find at any craft store, or several local hardware stores. These signs also look great on an interior wall or outside on a door or an exterior wall! If you’re still unsure, please feel free to view our Facebook page to see examples of what others have done. https://www.facebook.com/metalunlimited/ I hope that helps!

Recently we purchased a powder coated metal “S” for our new home. We are planning to hang it on the exterior garage on vinyl siding above the garage door under the arch. I read your FAQs on hanging options, but I am still not clear as to the best way to hang it without putting holes in it. We need it secured so that it can withstand wind and the elements of a WI winter. However we really don’t want to to put holes in it where it could rust down our light colored siding. Please provide us some best practice suggestions. Thank you.

Hi Rodney, we recommend hanging your sign with a vinyl siding hook! They sell these at most hardware stores and on Amazon, and they are pretty inexpensive. The vinyl hook slips under the vinyl without the need for putting holes in!

I would like to place a metal sign on the front of a small refrigerator in our pool area. Do you think if I added stick on magnets to the back of the sign it would stay on the refrigerator door?

      Hi Sandy,
I do think that with magnets it should stay put! Just make sure you have enough magnets for the weight of your sign to hold tightly! We’d love for you to send us a photo once it’s done!

I would like to hang a metal sign, outside, off the arm of our wooden mailbox post. Is the Initial Monogram and Last Name Design thick enough to attach hooks so I can hang it from round ‘eyes’ that will be attached to the arm of the mailbox post?

I purchased a clock from you in March. We had yet to hang it as we are finding it difficult to find the appropriate hardware since you advised us not to hang by the hanger on the clock mechanism. What do you recommend?
